De Ommelanden is de oude naam voor de gebieden in de huidige Nederlandse provincie Groningen die buiten de stad Groningen liggen.De term Ommelanden verwijst naar een aantal plattelandsdistricten of landschappen rond de stad Groningen. In de 16e eeuw werden vijf Ommelanden onderscheiden. Het Ommelander grootzegel van 1579 toont de wapens van de volgende landschappen:
