Al heel wat kasteleins hebben achter de tap van café De Noordse Plassen in Noorden gestaan, Ko Kas was de laatste. Hij werd 66 in 2018 en vindt het na 20 jaar mooi geweest. In januari 2019 brak brand uit in het inmiddels gesloten café de Noordse Plassen aan de Voorweg in Noorden. Sindsdien staat het oude café in de bouwhekken
