Vijf klaslokalen gericht op het oosten – de ochtendzon - en een rustige binnenplaats vormen met het practicum en verdeeld over drie verdiepingen de grootste bouwmassa. De lokalen zijn door een gang gescheiden van het rumoer van de straat. Opvallend daarbij zijn de moderne bandvensters met stalen raamprofielen. Het gebruik van glas tussen leslokalen en gang zorgde ervoor dat het licht zowel via de voorgevel als via het achtergevel in het gebouw viel. De voorgevel van het gebouw wordt door deze bouwmassa en het trappenhuis bepaald. Het verticale glasgedeelte correspondeert overigens niet met het trappenhuis.
In 1997 heeft W. Arets het gebouw gerenoveerd tot kantoor, waarbij hij erin geslaagd is een kantoorgebouw te scheppen zonder de oorspronkelijke architectuur aan te tasten.
