Het Internationaal Gerechtshof, ook wel de Wereldrechterlijke macht genoemd, is het belangrijkste rechterlijke orgaan van de Verenigde Naties en werd opgericht door het Handvest van de Verenigde Naties in 1945. Dit gerechtshof moet niet worden verward met het Internationaal Strafhof, dat zich bezighoudt met de vervolging van natuurlijke personen die oorlogsmisdaden, genocide of misdaden tegen de menselijkheid hebben gepleegd.
