De Soesterduinen werden als filmlocatie gebruikt in de science-fictionreeks Arcadia. Regisseur Tim Oliehoek: "We hadden toestemming om hier twee dagen te filmen, maar omdat het stralend weer was, wou iedereen plots in de duinen komen zonnen. Al die bezoekers die gezellig aan het picknicken waren of hun hond uitlieten, hebben we achteraf digitaal moeten weggommen."
