Wandeling over de Reekade geeft een spectaculair uitzicht over de polders zowel rechts als links van de kade. De Reekade is in de zomer weelderig begroeit met tandzaad, raapzaad, distels en de slootkanten staan vol met onder andere kattenstaart, lisdodde, riet en zwanenbloemen. In de weilanden zien we buiten het broedseizoen veel zilverreigers. Buizerds cirkelen in de lucht.
