Het Witte Huis in het westen van Doorn werd gebouwd rond 1900 als villa Landzegen en is enkele malen uitgebreid. Vanaf 1911 was het in eigendom van de Amsterdamse Maatschappij voor Jongemannen (AMVJ) als zomerverblijf en tehuis voor kinderen met ademhalingsproblemen. In 1949 werd de Van Braam Houckgeestkazerne naar het zuiden uitgebreid. Villa Landzegen wordt hierdoor onderdeel van de marinierskazerne, waar het pand nog steeds wordt gebruikt als kantoor.
