De Janssenmolen in Oirsbeek is vernoemd naar de molenaarsfamilie die jarenlang in deze molen heeft geleefd en gemaald. Het terrein waar de molen is gebouwd vormt een ideale plek voor een windmolen.
Het is een plateau waarvan de voet redelijk steil overgaat in een zandweg. Vanaf dit plateau gezien is de molen er een van het type grondzeiler, maar vanaf de voet van het plateau is een inrit uitgegraven. Daardoor lijkt hij aan die zijde een beltmolen.
