Polder Stein is een polder en een voormalig waterschap in de gemeenten Reeuwijk en Haastrecht. Tot 1857 was het polderbestuur feitelijk een onderdeel van het Hoofddijkbestuur Stein en Willens. Het is niet duidelijk wanneer het dijkbestuur is opgericht, de oudste stukken in het archief van Rijnland dateren uit 1444, maar het is niet ondenkbaar dat het waterschap veel ouder is.
Het waterschap was verantwoordelijk voor de vervening, drooglegging en de waterhuishouding in het gebied. de steinse Tiendweg speelde daar ook een rol in.
