Station Assen is het spoorwegstation te Assen dat op 1 mei 1870 werd geopend. Het oorspronkelijke stationsgebouw is ontworpen door de architect Karel van Brederode en werd gebouwd in 1868. Het behoorde tot een vernieuwde versie van het standaardtype SS derde klasse .
Van 1905 tot 1947 was er ook personenvervoer over de spoorlijn naar Stadskanaal. Deze lijn is in 1977 opgebroken.
