La gare d'Assen est la gare ferroviaire d'Assen, ouverte le 1er mai 1870. Le bâtiment original de la gare a été conçu par l'architecte Karel van Brederode et a été construit en 1868. Il faisait partie d'une version renouvelée du type standard SS de troisième classe.
De 1905 à 1947, il y avait également un transport de passagers sur la ligne ferroviaire vers Stadskanaal. Cette ligne a été démantelée en 1977.
