Halsteren is een dorp binnen de gemeente Bergen op Zoom, in de Nederlandse provincie Noord-Brabant. Het heeft 12.325 inwoners . Bij de gemeentelijke herindeling van 1 januari 1997 werd de gemeente Halsteren opgeheven en toegevoegd aan de gemeente Bergen op Zoom. De gemeente Halsteren werd in 1810 gevormd door samenvoeging van vier zelfstandig bestuurde rechtsgebieden: het dorp Halsteren, Noordgeest, de Beymoerenpolders en de Auvergne- en Glymespolders in 1810.
