Tussen fort Daatselaar en knooppunt 77 fietst u over een gedeelte van de Grebbelinie. De Grebbelinie was een voorverdediging van de Hollandse waterlinie. Fort Daatselaar werd in 1799 aangelegd op de plaats waar de Slaperdijk eindigde tegen de hoge gronden.
