Description

Aan de westoever van de Amstel zien we een kolossaal kantoorpand. Dat was tot een paar jaar geleden een witschimmelige aberratie, Rivierstaete. Het was een creatie van Huig Maaskant, architect van de wederopbouw in Rotterdam en in Amsterdam verantwoordelijk voor het Hilton Hotel. In 2015 begon een jarenlange renovatie, waarbij de witte kunststof platen zijn vervangen door glas. Nu is het hip transparant en heet het Amsteldok.
