Het is zondagmiddag 17 september 1944. In amper drie kwartier tijd landen hier meer dan 4.500 parachutisten. Boerderij de Paulushoef is een ideaal oriëntatiepunt voor de piloten: de naam staat in grote letters op het dak. Niet lang na de parachutisten landen hier ook nog eens 53 zweefvliegtuigen met materieel en manschappen.
