De Gelderse Hanzestad Doesburg ligt precies op de plek waar de Oude IJssel en de IJssel samenkomen. Op dit kruispunt staat het gemaal: de locatie van het 9e kunstwerk van de Silo Art Tour. Waterschap Rijn en IJssel is eigenaar van het gemaal uit 1962 en zorgt als beheerder voor de waterveiligheid, de kwaliteit van het water en de bescherming van het omliggende gebied. Voor deze locatie is gekozen voor kunstenaar Sydney Waerts uit Lelystad. Een kunstenaar met een fotorealistische stijl die graag het donkere randje opzoekt.
