In het Streekbos vind je ook een natuurpad, beheerd door IVN West-Friesland. Dit stiltegebied van zo’n twee hectare kun je betreden via een bruggetje over het water. Het is niet geschikt voor honden en minder mobiele bezoekers. Bij nat weer is het raadzaam om waterdichte schoenen te dragen. Sinds het gebied in 1996 is heringericht, zorgen hoogteverschillen, glooiende oevers en drie eilandjes voor een toename in de biodiversiteit. Zo vind je hier bijvoorbeeld een paddenpoel, een bloemenweide, knotbomen en veel zeldzame vogels, planten en insecten. Een zuiveringssloot met helofytenfilter houdt het polderwater kristalhelder. De bacteriën tussen de rietwortels zorgen voor de afbraak van overtollige voedingsstoffen zoals fosfaten en nitraten.
