Gorzów Wielkopolski is een stad in Polen. De stad is een zelfstandig stadsdistrict in het woiwodschap Lubusz. De oppervlakte bedraagt 86,03 km2, het inwonertal 125.578 . De stad ligt aan rivier de Warthe.De plaats werd in 1257 gesticht volgens het Maagdenburger stadsrecht, onder de naam Neu Landsberg door markgraaf Johan I van Brandenburg. Tot 1945 was de stad deel van de provincie Brandenburg in het Duitse Rijk. De Duitse bevolking werd vanaf 1945 tot 1949 verdreven door middel van deportatie. De nieuwe bewoners waren voor een groot deel afkomstig uit Groot-Polen.
