O Caixeiro is een restaurant met traditionele Portugese keuken, met plaats voor max 90 gasten. Daarnaast beschikt het over een terras. U vind het restaurant op 3km van São Bartolomeu de Messines. U geniet hier in een gemoedelijke sfeer van lokale streekgerechten als geit, wildzwijn en natuurlijk porco preto. De maaltijd wordt afgerond met heerlijke zelfgemaakte desserts als "doce de casa", mango mousse of een overheerlijke amandeltaart. Zeker op zondag is reserveren noodzakelijk.
