Deze fontein staat in het midden van Praça da República.

Het is een typisch Portugese fontein, gebouwd in graniet in de 18e eeuw. Hij heeft een basis met drie treden en een zeshoekige bak waarin het water valt. In het midden hiervan staat een soort zuil, met twee kachels op verschillende hoogtes, waar zich de waterleiding bevindt.
