Deva is een stad in het westen van Roemenië en is de hoofdstad van het district Hunedoara. De gemeente telt 56.647 inwoners en ligt op de linkeroever van de Mureș aan de voet van een 371 m hoge heuvel. Naast de stad Deva liggen er nog een viertal dorpen in de gemeente: Archia, Bârcea Mică, Cristur en Sântuhalm.
