De toren van Birger Jarl is een verdedigingstoren op de noordwestelijke hoek van Riddarholmen, een eilandje in Gamla Stan, de oude stad van Stockholm.
Het gebouw is vernoemd naar Birger Jarl, die traditioneel wordt beschouwd als de oprichter van Stockholm, maar het werd honderden jaren later gebouwd en de naam is grotendeels het resultaat van een 17e-eeuwse mythe. Stockholm vertaalt letterlijk naar "Log-Eiland", en volgens die mythe werd de stad opgericht waar een boomstam aanspoelde vanuit het Mälarmeer.
