Het koninkrijk Illyrië was een kroonland van Oostenrijk van 1816 tot 1849. De hoofdstad was Ljubljana, toen vaker in het Duits Laibach genoemd.
Tot 1797 was het gebied verdeeld tussen de republiek Venetië en Oostenrijk, maar het grootste gedeelte van Venetië kwam bij Oostenrijk, nadat het Frankrijk van Napoleon Venetië was binnengevallen. In 1805 kwam Illyrië echter bij het koninkrijk Italië, dat in feite een Franse vazalstaat was, dit door de nieuwe oorlog tussen Oostenrijk en Frankrijk.
