Wist je dat Abraham Lincoln slechts 1 jaar school liep in de periode van de lagere en de middelbare school. Hij deed 5 verschillende scholen aan. Zijn thuissituatie was alles behalve evident om goed te studeren. Hij verloor zijn moeder toen hij negen was. Zijn vader hertrouwde en hij leefde in het nieuwsamengesteld gezin in een kleine houten barak. Hij was wel enorm leergierig en las ongeveer alle boeken die hij te pakken kreeg.
