Het bloedbad op Columbine High School vond plaats op dinsdag 20 april 1999 op de Columbine High School in Columbine in de Amerikaanse staat Colorado. Op die dag schoten Eric Harris en Dylan Klebold twaalf medeleerlingen en een leraar dood en pleegden vervolgens zelfmoord, zoals ze van tevoren hadden gepland. Het was tot de schietpartij op Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018 de dodelijkste schietpartij op een middelbare school in de Amerikaanse geschiedenis.
Eric David Harris , 9 april 1981) was de zoon van een piloot bij de US Air Force. Het gezin moest daarom regelmatig verhuizen. Vanaf juli 1993 woonde het gezin in Littleton , nadat Harris' vader met pensioen was gegaan. Dylan Klebold speelde in hetzelfde honkbalteam als Harris. Hoewel hij actief deelnam aan andere activiteiten, was hij een relatief stil en verlegen kind. Klebolds buren hadden de indruk dat het een stabiele familie was. Wel viel het op dat Klebold vanaf 1996 onder sterke invloed stond van Harris.
