Het plein Plaza de España, heraangelegd in 2011, is sinds het begin de favoriete plek van de bewoners geweest om elkaar te ontmoeten, uit te rusten of spelen en feesten te organiseren.
De ingang wordt bewaakt door de twee belangrijkste culturele goederen: de Santa Úrsula-kerk en het Klooster. Het plein zelf is als het ware de ingang tot het natuurgebied Barranco del Infierno.
Er is nu een grote toren op het plein, een eerbetoon aan de allereerste Adejeros, met een bel die zal luiden bij speciale en plechtige gelegenheden. Ook vind je een podium, een groene zone, een weg naar de Barranco del Infierno en een verbinding naar de Plaza del Emigrante, achter het stadhuis.
Deze architectonische ingreep op het Plaza de España in Adeje was ook finalist bij de European Awards for Urban Public Space, omdat het een voorbeeld is van een hedendaagse ingreep op een historische plek.
