The Hermitage of Maristel·la was formerly known as the Hermitage of Carmen. It is a relatively modern building, from the late nineteenth century. Specifically, work began in 1890, when the Congregation of Carmelite Tertiary Friars accepted the donation made by Mrs. Margalida Rosselló Ferrà. Currently the hermitage belongs to the Parish of Sant Pere d'Esporles.
