De Sohlberg is een pasweg die tot 477 meter hoogte gaat. Er zijn vier geasfalteerde zijden, twee vanuit het noorden en twee vanuit het zuiden. Vanuit het zuiden heb je meer hoogteverschil dan vanuit het noorden. Voor alle zijden geldt dat het een stevige beklimming is, waarbij de twee noordelijke zijden de steilste stukken kent (tot 19%).
