The climb of the Katzenknipp is a beautiful gem in the Nordeifel. The ascent from Schevenhütte begins on the relatively quiet Landesstraße 25 (which is also the steepest) and a few kilometers later, a well-paved road branches off through the forests that is closed to motorized traffic. This allows you to climb to the village of Großhau in peace, with occasionally a stunning panorama of the surroundings.
