The Slí Grainne Mhaol / Granuaile Loop walk was opened in 2015 in Derreens on Achill Island, along the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland. This 6.7 km long loop walk starts and ends at Johnny Patten's pub and is named after the legendary Pirate Queen Grace O'Malley, who had a castle in nearby Kildavent. There is ample parking available opposite the pub. The route runs through Derreens, Kildownet, and Ashleam Bay and has a total ascent of 334 meters. The marked trail takes about 2.5 hours and offers a panoramic view of Granuaile's sea kingdom.
