Röhrenspring is a hamlet located at an altitude of 600 meters, near the source of the river Röhr in the Homert Nature Park. Just south-west of Röhrenspring is the highest point of the "pass road" at just under 650 meters of altitude. A topographically correct name for this climb is Sellenstücke.
You can do the climb from different sides:
- north side from Endorf (fork K24 from the L519): 6.5 km of climbing with 280 meters of elevation gain,
- eastern side from Obersalwey (camping Schliprüthen): 5.5 km of climbing with 250 meters of elevation gain,
- south-west side (variant 1) from Frettermühle: 8.7 km of climbing with 390 metres of elevation gain,
- south-west side (variant 2) from Müllen: 8.5 km of climbing with 410 metres of elevation gain,
- western side from Rönkhausen: 10.5 km of climbing with 440 meters of elevation gain.
The biggest difference in altitude is from the valley of the river Lenne, from the town of Rönkhausen.
