Around the Dobbeplas a swampy creek area has been created with lots of water and reeds.
The Creek area is much lower than the surrounding polder, because peat has been put here in the past. The marshy area was planted with trees after the excavation of the peat and is managed by Staatsbosbeheer. There is an abundance of food and many opportunities for nesting sites; a true paradise for birds. The walking route lets you experience the area intimately and you may come across grazing Galloway cattle or Icelandic horses.
