Description

This former 19th century textile site (Janssens family) was expanded at the beginning of the 20th century into a vocational and craft school (the VTS). In 2008, the city bought the site and appointed Interwaas to develop it, together with architectural firm Nero, into a car-free residential area, with space for culture and leisure (classrooms for the music academy, Van Wilderodezaal, depot and workshop spaces De Zagerij and De Smederij).
