Molen De Drie Koornbloemen dateert uit 1770 en is daarmee de oudste nog bestaande brandersmolen van Schiedam. Uniek voor Schiedam is het aan de molen verbonden molenaarshuis. De molen beschikt over de restanten van een pelwerk waarmee o.a. rijst werd gepeld. Aan andere overblijfselen in het interieur is goed te zien dat de brandersmolens in de nadagen van de jeneverindustrie vaak overstapten naar andere activiteiten als die meer geld opbrachten. De molen wordt beheerd door stichting De Schiedamse Molens en heeft onlangs een grootschalige onderhoudsbeurt gehad waarbij zowel de romp als de houten onderdelen werden aangepakt.
