Koblenz is a West German city located about 90 kilometers south-east of Cologne. The city was founded by the Romans as a military settlement and was named Ad Confluentes, from which the current name Koblenz is derived. Today, Koblenz is a city with typical German Renaissance architecture and its eye-catchers such as the Balduinbrücke, the Deutsches Eck and the Basilika Sankt Kastor are just a few of the many gems that will be visited during the walk.
