AzureThe Teutenroute is a voyage of discovery into the ancient teuten culture, which stretches over the Limburg and Dutch Kempen. The teuts were itinerant merchants and craftsmen, a phenomenon created at the end of the Middle Ages. In the meantime you cross the beautiful Kempen landscape, this undoubtedly provides extra pleasant surprises.
Loop 1 takes you across the border to the Netherlands. This 80km long route symbolizes the origin and flowering of the teuts. Along the way you will pass some typical teuten houses and imposing mills. The Glass House in Lommel highlights glass art in all its facets. At the Achelse Kluis you can enjoy the Achelse Trappist, brewed in the abbey itself. Furthermore, the German military cemetery in Lommel is also an impressive stopover.
