This junction cycle route through the Outdoor Sports Walhalla near Appelscha takes you to special places. Between Donkerbroek and Wijnjewoude lies the hamlet of Moskou. That it is not entirely a coincidence is proven by the fact that the street Petersburg lies in the same area! This way you can cycle to Moscow and back in one day!

You will also pass a number of interesting places, such as the Tjaskermolen at the Stobbepoel. In Oosterwolde you will cycle past the Biosintrum, one of the most sustainable and innovative buildings in Europe. At Fochteloo you will cycle through the former Jewish work camp Kamp Ypbenheer. After the war, the ex-KNIL soldiers and their families were housed here. You can still see the foundations of the buildings.

The tour takes you through various nature reserves, such as the Blauwe Bos and the Fochtelooerveen.
