This walking route through Beekdaelen takes you via walking junctions through the countryside of Schinnen, a rolling landscape with a turbulent history. In farms, castles, and churches, stories once unfolded about the notorious Bokkerijders. Here, they would have conspired, taken refuge, or been imprisoned.

The landscape has hardly changed over the centuries. Scattered along the route, various places remind us of this legend, where fact and story are intertwined.

The complete route starts at Kasteel Terborgh and can be walked in its entirety by connecting the loops. The individual loops can also be walked separately and are accessible from various starting points in the area.
