Mechelen - Nete - Netekanaal - Albert Canal - Antwerp - Bicycle Street A'wpen-Mechelen

Departing from the train station in Mechelen, we quickly take the bike path along the Dijle. This short, fast stretch soon brings us to the larger shipping routes of the Nete, followed by the Nete Canal. While climbing the stairs, take a moment to breathe in the air and pay attention to the biodiversity that the flat fields with their sprouting waterways have to offer. After battling against the familiar gusts of wind and enjoying the Flemish canal landscape, we reach the great Albert Canal along the charming Lier. The center of Antwerp is already peeking in as we continue following the Albert Canal. Once we reach the center, it's time for a break, giving you the opportunity to enjoy your snack or a spot in the sun. Afterwards, we head to Antwerp Central, and the final straight stretch along the tracks begins. At Duffel, we quickly cross the well-known shipping route of the Nete Canal, but we stay on course towards Nekkerspoel to re-enter Mechelen and start cooling down until we reach the train station in Mechelen.
