CORRECTION - THE DIRECTIONS IN THE BOOK STATE ON PG. 87: '(3) Baarlebrug/Zigraeckse Brug'. THAT SHOULD BE: '(2) Baarlebrug/Zigraeckse Brug'.
Fifth stage of the reconstruction of the route along which Hugo Grotius fled from Loevestein to Antwerp on 22 and 23 March 1621. Bicycle version.
The first part of this stage deviates from the original escape route, which followed the current Hoogstratensebaan. This road is so unpleasant to cycle on (no free cycle path and speeding car traffic) that an attractive diversion has been made to near Baarlebrug.
Please note: during this stage you will come over unpaved roads with mud and / or sand here and there.
