The neo-Gothic church of Bulskamp is the anchor point in the polder landscape of the village and De Moeren. Five landscape types lie along the hiking trail: the gentle sand plateau territory of the starting point, the lowland, the settlement sand plateau Bulskamp, the peat extraction areas, and finally the cultural-historical landscape of De Moeren, which is situated below sea level, with its drainage mills. The Schaapsvlietgracht drains the areas behind the castle of Beauvoorde into the polders of Bulskamp and gave the hike its name. The theme of the poetry panels is "young and old," referring to the flourishing village school and the residential and care center St.-Anna in Bulskamp.
