Via the Ommetje around Dieteren you will experience the surprising nature north of Dieteren. From the Doort you walk south via the handy knots walking system. De Doort is perhaps the most important nature reserve of Echt-Susteren. It enjoys national fame for its large tree frog population. This deciduous forest with a number of larger lakes is located in a former Meuse channel and therefore has a very richly developed flora and fauna.
