That the Pajottenland still has plenty of clean air will not surprise anyone. The study CurieuzeNeuzen from 2018 showed that there are still super healthy places in the Pajottenland (the blue dots - concentrations of NO2 between 10-15 µg/m³). To put these blue dots into perspective: a measurement at the highway entrance of the Ring with the E40 in Goort-Bijgaarden had values four times higher, namely NO2 concentrations between 40-45 µg/m³. This driving route connects 10 of these blue dots along surprisingly beautiful paths. Most of them are paved. But there are only short sections of a few hundred meters that are unpaved. Safe to do in dry weather. But in wet weather, one should be a bit adventurous. To breathe in fresh, healthy air, you have to put in some effort.
