Zelzate is an ideal starting point for a bike ride that takes you briefly into the Netherlands and immediately after that get to know the surprisingly beautiful creek area of Assenede. Also discover the fishing village of Boekhoute, the former railroad line Eeklo-Zelzate, the Waterspaar basin of Kluizen and the Stoepekapel in Ertvelde. Hopefully you are not in front of the Bridge of Zelzate, otherwise.... Just wait until the sea ship has passed.
