The border road winds along the Belgian-Dutch border between the Drielandenpunt and the North Sea. You follow the path of the Thread of Death, an electric border barrier from the First World War to prevent smugglers, spies, deserters or volunteers from the Belgian front from reaching the neutral Netherlands. 540 kilometers along 26 reconstructions, monuments and stories of the Thread of Death. From the hills near Vaals to the Zwin near Cadzand, or vice versa.

A cycling adventure on car-free country roads and free cycle paths. Seven to ten days of pedaling through a varied landscape of hills, rivers, marshes, forests and moors, through special border villages and along the world cities of Maastricht and Antwerp.
