When you cycle through the areas around Cabourg and Houlgate, you can admire some of the largest and most famous Anglo-Norman structures before continuing further into the Norman hinterland towards Beaumont-en-Auge, which is known for its beautiful timber-framed houses. From Beaumont-en-Auge, you can cycle along the coast of Deauville or through the forests of St. Gatien towards Honfleur. In Honfleur, you can enjoy the history of the city; from Honfleur, many ships sailed to the New World, Brazil, and Quebec in the seventeenth century. Much of Honfleur's rich past has been preserved; the harbor, churches, bell towers, and old warehouses still stand and can be admired. Additionally, there are still old cobblestone streets in Honfleur that are far too small for cars; in short, Honfleur is a gem, of which there are not many more!
