The route begins in Loksbergen at the church and runs clockwise.
Characteristic of the Hageland are the gentle hills with, among other things, fruit orchards and vineyards, but also a lot of scattered and row housing. The ascents over the hills have a height difference of 20 to 60 meters and are often tricky (almost always the gradient is above 10%). The roads in this area are a mix of narrow, winding streets and wide concrete roads with a narrow bike path next to them (unfortunately more than I would wish, but that's the only way in this area). Fortunately, most of the concrete roads on this route are not heavily trafficked, making it even safer not to ride on the narrow bike path. Many ascents are called hollow ways, paths that are deeply embedded in a hill. In addition, there are also various cobblestone roads in this area. This route includes a cobblestone ascent (from the Kerkstraat in Molenbeek) and a flat cobblestone stretch (from the Puttestraat at Kraasbeek).

Besides the Kerkstraat, you'll ascend, among others, the Wijndries, Bonnekensstraat, the Alsberg, the Houwaartberg, the Kasteeldreef, the Chartreuzenberg (Meesberg), the Moedermolen (from the south side, known as the Stenen Muur), the Eikelberg, Gelrodeweg, the Biezenhuiskes, Doktorenberg, Hermansheuvel (also known as Doornhof), Wolvenstraat, and the Molenberg).
