In the village of Bocholtz, the Roman past is still very much alive. The baker bakes Roman bread, the farmer ploughs above the Roman villa remains and the bank preserves the monetary heritage of the Romans . While walking, take a break in an old-fashioned cozy village café,
taste the Roman bread or enjoy an Italian ice cream. Even in Roman times , people lived and worked in and around present-day Bocholtz. Mainly on the fields from the Roman farms, such as Villa Vlengendaal. In that respect, not much has changed, because the villa remains are still agricultural. The Roman heritage is everywhere!
