The Wildenburg hiking trail is situated against the backdrop of a castle park and medieval estate. You will explore the surroundings of the Wingense district Wildenburg and the Ruiseleed Sint-Pietersveld. The route starts at the Sint-Joriskerkje next to the Blauwhuis estate. The Purgatory Forest domain is no less than 220 hectares in size. This green oxygen carpet is located in Wingene and is part of the larger 'Landscape Park Bulskampveld'. Contrary to what the somewhat ominous name suggests, this forest domain is a true earthly paradise for fauna and flora.
