This bike ride from Brukselbinnenstebuiten takes you to discover Neder-Over-Heembeek, a small forgotten corner of the capital, the typical example of a village that has been swallowed up in a city. From the twelfth century, the villages of Neder-Heembeek and Over-Heembeek were oriented towards agriculture. One hundred years later, the City of Brussels annexed the two entities united under the name of Neder-Over-Heembeek. Despite the major projects that Brussels had planned for this area, the village continued to live.
